Broadband - A type of data transmission in which a single medium can transfer multiple signals at once. Ex.. cable internet, DSL, satellite internet.

Dial-up – Refers to a method of internet connection that uses telephone lines to submit data. Maximum modem speed with dial-up service is 56K, however throughput is limited to a maximum of 53.333 kbps per FCC regulations.
